ABOUT 2-DI-4

2-Di-4 Design & Illustration was founded in July 1999 when I struck out on my own as a contractor for a new marketing and promotional company in Lansing, Michigan. I rented office space in the companies building and worked directly with the sales staff and clients on projects ranging from promotional items and logo design and marketing and direct mail publications from concept to completion. In late 2000, I was invited to join the company as their in-house designer. I continued to service other freelance customers in my free time.

In January 2005, the company relocated and my employment ended. 2-Di-4 was reborn with new clientele and a new outlook. I continue to do freelance work for several clients established through my employment and have gained new clients with the help of referrals and contacts established throughout the past 12 years of working with a variety of local businesses.

I believe with today's struggling economy, value is the most important service I can provide. I strive to keep my prices low to give my clients the best value for their dollar. I work closely with several local printers and can provide quotes for full service to you from design to printing, delivery and mailing of your project.

I have worked hand in hand with many clients over the years including Michigan Association of Health Plans, Kelly Services, Wolvering Solutions Group, and Custom Promotions Incorporated, Superstars of Racing. I have created art for many well known customers including Dupont, Ford, DaimlerChrysler Services, NHRA, IHRA, World of Outlaws, Farm Bureau of Michigan, Carhartt, Greektown Casino, Midwest HealthPlan and several others.

I have worked as a graphic designer since 1992 and have built my experience and continued learning new programs and new techniques. I am proficient in designing for a variety of print media including offset printing, screen printing, pad printing, embroidery, engraving, spot color and 4-color process. I work closely with a number of printers supplying pre-press documents and doing on-site press checks for customers. I am a rebel as the design world goes and work on a PC platform with some of the latest design software including Adobe's CreativeSuite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Quark Xpress.

I have skills in traditional art also, including pencil/marker illustration, watercolors and pastels. I often sketch and do watercolors as a way to relax. I do custom portraits, product renderings and many other custom art pieces. I will gladly discuss any custom project you might have.
